From the western and northern edge of the Omaha, Nebraska area, a car to Eppley Airfield covers somewhere between 13.0 and 29.5 road miles, depending on the town. The form at the foot of this page lets you reserve an airport ride from Elkhorn, NE, or from Irvington, Bennington, Waterloo, King Lake or Valley. One local car company reads the request, prices each ride in writing, and holds nothing in your name until it confirms after your yes.
Elkhorn, Valley and Bennington: figures start at Irvington
from $105 per car, each way · sedan, up to 3 riders
from $135 per car, each way · SUV, up to 6 riders
Elkhorn: sedan from $120, SUV from $150, per car, each way
A from-figure is the starting price per car, each way. Driveways, lake lots and gravel lanes
Pickups out here rarely look like a downtown curb. Elkhorn and Bennington are mostly subdivisions with driveways and cul-de-sacs, Waterloo is a small grid of town streets, and around Valley and King Lake a house can sit at the end of a lake road or a long gravel lane with no lit number at the turn.
The driver only knows what the request says. A few plain details in the notes box spare everyone a wrong turn in the dark, and a quick look at the list below before you send the form takes less than a minute:
- the house number as it reads on the mailbox
- which entrance of an apartment building to use
- a gate code, or who opens the gate
- how far the lane runs from the paved road
- where the bags will be waiting
Six towns, six ways in
Elkhorn takes North 204th Street to US 6 and then Abbott Drive, 21.1 road miles and about 30 minutes on clear roads. Waterloo starts on South Front Street and joins US 6, about 33 minutes. Valley comes in on Nebraska Highway 64 and US 275, and King Lake on East Meigs Street and US 275; both then follow US 6 and Abbott Drive, about 39 minutes each.
Bennington runs Nebraska Highway 36 and Highway 133 to Interstate 680, about 28 minutes, and Irvington is the short one at about 18. As of October 2026, John J. Pershing Drive is closed between Dick Collins Road and Craig Avenue, so rides from those two towns use the 30th Street detour; the minutes here already count it.
When the wheels touch down at Eppley
The ride home takes about as long on clear roads: about 15 minutes to Irvington, close to 40 to Valley or King Lake. As of October 2026 the terminal is split into a North half and a South half until 2027, so check the A or B letter of your gate on the boarding pass and read the meeting point the car company names in its written confirmation.
If the landing slips, call the car company number printed on that confirmation rather than the office. Family farther south in Sarpy County can reserve an airport ride from Papillion or Bellevue, NE on their own fares page.
Irvington sits 13.0 road miles from the terminal, with a sedan from $105 per car, each way; Valley sits 29.5 miles out, from $135. Compare the fares for every place the office serves.
